The Wəlastəkwey Latowewakən/Wolastoqey Latuwewakon Curriculum Committee (WLCC) recognizes that not all educators can speak our beautiful language. Therefore, we have made available recordings of some of the songs and rhymes we have translated to extend your learning and improve pronunciation.
For those educators that are fluent speakers or teacher-learners that are able to read and write, we have made our materials available in both alphabets. Simply select the alphabet of your choice, and download!

Wolastoqey Latuwewakon Curriculum Committee
The Wəlastəkwey Latowewakən/Wolastoqey Latuwewakon Curriculum Committee was formed in August of 2017. Our mission is to authenticate existing language curricula and to develop early childhood curricula for potential use in intensive language programming and for future Immersion programming throughout Wəlastəkok/Wolastokuk.
We would like to say Wela’lin/Wəliwən/Woliwon to the North Shore Mi’kmaq District Council for their contribution in helping us make our website endeavour a reality!
These resources were created by the Wəlastəkwey/Wolastoqey Language Curriculum Committee. Members include Kelsey Nash-Solomon, Roseanne Clark, Anatasha Lyons, Judy Perley, Emilie Gray, and Greta Moulton. Other who have contributed include Andrea Bear Nicholas, Robert M.
