Community members from the Wolastoqey Nation are invited as we come together to recognize Bear Witness Day
Celebrated annually on May 10th, Bear Witness day is to honor Jordan River Anderson and ensure the full implementation of Jordan’s Principle, which guarantees First Nations children equitable access to government services. The day marks Jordan’s birthday and encourages Canadians to “bear witness” to prevent further inequities in health, education, and social services.
Spirit Bear’s Picnic will include each child will receiving their own Spirit Bear (while supplies last) to name and personalize.
